We had a terrible experience with dealing with Bukhara restaurant on the premises of Grand West. After making and confirming a reservation on the 04 April 2013 for the 19 April 2013 (via Grandwest internet), I phoned to confirm on the 19th April 2013 (call time15:47) I was told (by "manageress" on duty), rather rudely, that they don't take booking for 2 people on show day which as per this person "is a Grandwest rule! "
What I can't understand is:
o The way the "manageress" spoke to me in a complete unprofessional rude manner - surly this is not how managers should be treating potential paying customers- training seems to be lacking here
o My booking was confirmed but was not in the system (one would think that a professional system would be in place to take internet bookings- otherwise don't do it) and if a mistake was made as per "Grandwest rule" why I was not called timeously to be told that my booking can't be accommodated as per "Grandwest rule" so that I could make alternative plans.
o Is this really a "Grandwest rule"
This situation has not only left an extremely bad taste it has also left me in an embarrassing situation tainting this restaurant for me.
