NO FRIENDLINESS UNLESS YOU BUY FIRST

I visited one of the Steers branches - I happened to be in the company of a Mother whose Daughter works as a casual at the outlet. Before placing my order, the proud Mother introduced me to her daughter. There was not one single customer in queue. We had not barely been there 2 minutes (had not even placed my order) when mandla (manager) approached the lady and pointed her on her arm and said you are not allowed visitors here. He did not ask if we were there to order. Informing him that he is not to reprimand his staff in front of us, this just infuriarated him more. He then argued with us, telling us its Company policy. He shouted for Slindile (I assume another Manager) to come and explain to "these people" what the policy says. It is unacceptable the way he embarassed and intimidated the staff member, her mother and further humuliated me in full view of other people and staff. We chose to leave as it was becoming a scene now but he still continued to reprimand us.? This has left bitterness in my mouth, I felt humiliated, belittled and embarassed. It seemed like he knows little about work ethics and conduct.
