Spur Steak Ranches
Good service - BAD food

Our family have been loyal spur customers for as long as I can remember. We usually go to spur in Ruimsig and see them about once a week. We went to Cradlestone Mall's Spur. I saw 3 of the waiters there that used to help us at ruimsig. We were 9 people. First when we went outside a fowl smell hit us but we thought maybe its just a passing smell. As always I take the 300grm cheddar melt steak-medium to rare and so did my sister in law. When we got the rump, it was bone dry and looked like off cuts of meat-Not the promised prime cuts im used to. I sent it back. I told them its dry-its not medium rare and that its not a prime cut, rather 3 pieces of off cuts..We waited about 15 min while all the other people at the table was eating before the replacement steaks arrived. Again, there was light pink juice on the plate, but the steak is white all the way through and tough as nails!! Needless to say, me and my sister did not even eat a quarter of the meat, I took it in a doggy bag and fed it to my dogs. I am sure they pre-grill the meat and it ends up laying in a heated place for too long.. Oh and the smell turned out to be the dumping space right next to spur. I am not happy at this moment..
