Leftovers taken away from underprivlidged children

My sister took her helper and helpers kids out to Spur for a Christmas lunch this Monday for the Burger special. The kids where extremely excited as this was there first trip to a restaurant. All went well till it was time to leave. The children wanted to take their left overs in a doggy bag and the watron informed them they could not have one with the special!

My sister spoke to the manager and no-one would budge on the issue, I find this completely unacceptable as I have done this before, we then checked the terms and conditions and there is no mention on no doggy bags. You can only imagine the disappointment of children who were extremely excited to be on their very first outing of this kind. Even if this was the correct response I feel an exception could have been made for these little children who NEVER have this experience. As a regular customer at Spur I know it as a family restaurant and MOST of the time go out of their way, I am sure you would not like to leave this issue as unresolved being the caring family restaurant I know that Spur can be. I would appreciate another, more pleasant, experience for these children.
