Unbelievable poor service

We visited the Ocean Basket at the V&A on the 30th December 2013. We were 8 people, my family and visitors from Rustenburg. We were seated at 21:00. It took about 15 min before a waiter arrived to take our drinks order and another 45min to serve the drinks. We figured out that the restaurant ran out of drinking glasses and could not serve the drinks in time. We asked for a water jug for the table. It only arrived after our third request. Ordered hot chocolate arrived long after the other drinks were eventually served.

Further more the restaurant ran out of bread rolls normally served, we weren't informed abouts this before our order eventually arrived. On the arrival of our food order none of the normally served sauces were provided. After several requests very unneat bowls of sauces were served halfway through the meal. Poor service from the waiter and management made this a very frustrating dinner, lasting for more than 2 hours. People seated after us, left the restaurant before our food was served. As the most prominent tourism ocean basket in Cape Town, this is very bad publicity for the franchise.
