Bad food, worse treatment at Mama Luciana's

Ordered the pesto/steak/mushroom pasta dish for supper as recommended by our waiter. Partner ordered oven baked pasta. When the pesto pasta arrived the sauce was sour and tasted terrible. Ate less than a third of the dish. Complained to the waiter, he said he would speak to kitchen. Then the manager came by to ask if meal was ok, I complained about pesto again. She insisted it was the chilli but she would check with kitchen. She returned to say that the pesto was sour as a result of the cooks adding too much salt and she was sorry. I was expecting to be offered some compensation for the kitchen's mistake. Imagine my surprise when I was presented with the bill that included the full charge for the pesto pasta! At least offer a complimentary coffee or something. They won't be receiving any of my future business. I will be supporting the other Italian restaurants in the area (Remo's / Bel Punto / Roma / Casa Nostra) where the food and service are justified in the price.
