Doppio Zero
Terrible service and bad food

We were really looking forward to trying the Doppio Zero in Cradlestone, since our experience at the Greenside branch was good. Seriously disappointed! Firstly, we waited for over 45 minutes for our food. The place was quiet, no one had the courtesy to tell us why the meal was taking such a long time to prepare. When the meal eventually arrived, the pasta was overcooked, looked like it had been reheated a few times & was dry. We asked to speak to the manager, who was extremely rude & abrupt. He didn't even apologise & in an annoyed tone said he would bring us a fresh one. The waiter brought the same plate of pasta back a few minutes later, that was now simply drenched in wine. It was inedible. My fiance ordered a steak which was supposed to be served with parmesan mash, when he asked for the mash, the waiter brought a side dish of cold mashed. He ordered a rare done steak, but the steak was well done. We asked for the bill & put the food in a take away to gave to a beggar. The manager did not even have the courtesy to ask us what was the problem and they simply billed us R290 for a meal we had not even touched. The manager was extremely rude impolite. We will never return there.
