Col'cacchio
Would you like some pasta with your sauce?

Cafes, Bars, Restaurants

On 10 July 2013, we visited the Nicolway branch for dinner. We ordered the Armando Foro Pizza and Spaghetti Bolognaise for R69- or so we thought. I should point out that the PASTA Menu clearly states that all pasta dishes are available with any of the following: Linguini, Penne, Spaghetti, Wheat Free (R5). The assumption of any right-minded individual would be that the price of a PASTA dish on the PASTA menu includes the pasta (and that one should only have to add an extra R5 for wheat free) right? Wrong! Which we realised when we received our bill and were charged R69 for Bolognaise AND R22 EXTRA for Spaghetti! When we questioned our waiter we were told that the pasta is charged for separately and IN ADDITION to the pasta sauce!? We have absolutely no issue with paying for good food (which your food isn't). However, this is the first time we have ever heard of such an absurdity! How can you stipulate the price of "just pasta sauce" on the pasta menu and not even state (on the menu or through the waiter) that, heaven forbid you should want some you should want some pasta to go with that pasta sauce, you will be charged R22 extra? Col'Cacchio, seriously consider amending your menu!
