Customers shouted at for waitress' mistake

Having breakfast - we ordered several burgers. When food came we were one short, the waitress missed it off the order. The extra burger took until we had all finished and had plates cleared to arrive. We refused to pay for the burger and had agreed that with waitress responsible who had apologised. The owner then came over and shouted at us for not paying when it was our fault that the burger had not been ordered. This despite the waitress admitting her mistake. He would not listen to our explanations or a detailed story. His attitude and the way he spoke to us was horrific and despite excellent food I will not go back to support such an insulting man.
