I experienced the worst customer service at the Fourways Crossing KFC. I ordered a twister meal because I only had R40 on me. I was asked if I wanted to upgrade to the buddy coke but said no because I couldn't afford it. Then I was told I had no choice but to upgrade because the soda stream wasn't working and there were no cans. I then tried to explain that I didn't have extra money and it wasn't my fault that the soda stream wasn't working. They then said I could have a liqui fruit instead of a soft drink - that is obviously a downgrade with no changing of the price. I then asked to see the manager because I was sure a plan could be made to accommodate a customer due to unavailable stock. The manager eventually came and was not accommodating at all. He refused to admit that the branch was at fault. Of course I got irritated because that's not what I ordered and a twister meal was advertised at that price and he thought this was a joke. I found the way he handled the situation completely disgusting and I would expect more from the manager of a KFC. One would think that a manager would WANT customers to return because they WANT the business. It is also essentially false advertising.
