Only Steers to charge for bbq sauce

I took my family for a late lunch to Steers in the Entertainment Centre. We must have spent close on R400 (chips, hero steak rolls, drinks etc).

When the food came I asked for extra sauce looking around for the bottles or dispensers that ALL other Steers have readily available.

Imagine my surprise when I was told that you get 1 sauce for each packet of chips (irrespective of size) plus you can get an additional sachet. If you want more, you need to pay.

The reason that I am so surprised is that I had this exact gripe last year with Steers at the Valley of the Waves and when Steers contacted me they said that it was wrong and Steers does not limit sauce as a group policy.

When I explained this to the cashier she said that yes she knows, but the Franchisee makes the rules and NOT Steers. I asked to call him and she said that he was not available.

I have the slip still - R3.00 for a 75ml tub of sauce.

I cant believe that Steers in Sun City (no one else was near at the time) is so busy that they are happy to alienate the market. I was bitten once, thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt it appears this franchisee is above reproach even by Steers.
