No barista, system down and a bad attitude!

I went to McDonalds Kolonnade to say goodbye to my mother and the rest of the tour group that were on their way to Namibia. The restaurant advertise to be open 24 hours.

I wanted to purchase 1 coffee, 1 cafe late & 1 vanilla late. After a long deliberation between the staff, I was informed that there are no barista and they cannot make a vanilla late. I changed my order. After another long discussion I was told that the machine is down and they can't take my order. I asked to speak to the manager on duty as I found this unacceptable. The manager then told me I can pay cash, but only the exact amount

Some tour members paid for their coffees (R20 for a R16 cup of coffee - no change given) others, not even part of the tour group who overheard my conversation walked out after wanting to order breakfast.

To top all of this, the manager was extremely rude. I even asked her for a head office number to lodge a complaint, preferable somewhere I could phone immediately. The number she gave was a local number: 0125481020. Every time I phoned the number someone would pick up the phone and then slam it down again.

I will not attempt to buy from them again.
