Failure to pay death benefits./PID Funerals

Business & Finance

My uncle mzomhle aron mahintsho had an insurance that covered his life with Nestlife and passed away.when my aunt submitted a claim she was told that the claim was submitted beyond the six months claim period.i wish to ask for a review in this case as my aunt was not even aware that my uncle had a policy with you.secondly my aunt is not educated as her husband was also not that educated.this has created this unfortunate incident and left his family struggling while my uncle was paying a sum of R500.00 towards his life cover.it would be better then if the insurance is refusing to pay they would at least refund the premiums that were paid to them by my uncle not knowing that when the company has to pay they would look for unnecessary technicalities.according to the prescription act one can cease to claim benefits after 3 years and i think that is sufficient time to allow the family to even exhaust their searches through the documents of the deceased.so in this case the family has been disadvantaged especially the wife and children. i would therefore would like the company to review its decision and pay what is due to my aunt.claim number is 2007015274.Nestlife is under assupol
