I am writing this complaint on behalf of my aunt (Fezeka Nyengane) who lost her daughter at the beginning of November 2013 (Nomalungisa Nyengane) and just recently after I made a phone call to the person (Michelle) who is handling the claim that a small portion of her life cover policy was paid up.

My cousin (Nomalungisa) was the bread winner in her family, she has a five year old, a disabled aunt and a mother who fully depended on her. They spent the past three months with no funds and I am highly disgusted with the way Metropolitan has handled this matter.

My cousin's daughter had to register at pre school for 2014 in November 2013 and it was only a week ago when a small portion of her mother's life cover policy was paid up that my aunt was able to register her. We had to beg the school to accept her and explain that her mother's money was not paid up as yet even though it has been three full months since she has passed away.

Both her Life cover policy (partly paid up) and Pension Fund has not been paid and there has not been any communication to my aunt about the actual amounts and when can she expect the full payments.

I am highly disappointed and disgusted by this.
