Inadequate customer protection

One of the prime reasons for using a credit card is the protection it is supposed to afford, but Discovery Card completely fails to provide adequate customer protection. They restrict customer complaints to an unusually short 30 days and provide no means to bring a complaint against a retailer that fails to issue a refund for returned goods. According to Visa the banks are supposed to take customer complaints of this sort and lodge them in the system, so the retailer can be flagged as a problem. As it stands the consumer protection act allows faulty goods to be returned, but if the retailer fails to issue a refund Discovery Card's response is too bad, not our problem.
