My car got written off and within 1 day I advised Mutual & Federal to write my car off which they agreed to. On 17th April, last Wednesday, Johnny requested some paperwork from me which I delivered with 2 hours to his office in Long Street Cape Town. He advised me he was going to pay my claim that afternoon and that the money will clear into my account by Friday 19th/ Monday 22nd. On Friday, Johnny emailed me requesting my bank details, two days later??? I responded within an hour and he advised he will be paying the claim on Friday and that it should take two days to clear. In the interim, I planned a trip to George/ Mossel Bay as I had my heart set on a few cars to buy here with my claim settlement money. I've been to see a few dealers, lost out on two deals yesterday as I did not have the cash which was meant to be in my account yesterday. This morning I checked my account and the money is still not there. I leave for Cape Town tomorrow and since I still do not have the money, this trip was a waste of my time and money thanks to the inefficiency of a MF employee. I emailed Johnny yesterday at 10.30am asking whether the money was paid into my account but I've not had a response.
