Daddys deals and ABC Charters cheated me

We purchased 6 vouchers for fishing with ABC charters through Daddy's deals to the total value of R1794.
On 19 Dec 2013 I emailed ABC charters to redeem these vouchers and book the trip.
At 17:22 on the same day, Johnny from ABC charters called me to advise that they did not have any available bookings until 2 Jan 2014. I asked him to provisionally book us in & I will call him back within a few minutes to confirm.
Called him at 17:44 to advise that he should cancel the booking as the date did not suit us.

On the 6th of Jan 2014, I emailed Johnny at ABC Charters to confirm whether we can extend the validity of the voucher so we can use it on our next visit to Durban which should be before April.

Johnny called me at 15:07 & claimed that I did not cancel the booking for the 2nd & have been charged as a no show. He said I now have no claim over the monies which I have paid & the vouchers are also no longer valid.

I emailed Daddy's deals with the situation. I received the automated email confirming receipt of my mail & stating that I will receive feedback within 24 to 48 hours. Its been 4 days now with no response. Why am I being penalized for a mistake by ABC charters?
