ABSA failed to assist in an emergency

Business & Finance

On 14/4/2013 I was on my roof checking for loose roof screws, when I fell through the roof sheets. On 15/4/2013 my wife contact ABSA's call centre and eventually a representative from Kwekamva Project Management, who took pictures from the back of his bakkie, and did an assessment without getting on to the roof. I phoned the call centre on 16/4/2013, and was informed that since the assessment report indicated that the damage was not as a result of storm water, ABSA won't be paying for repairs. It started to rain, and now we will have additional expenses as a result of the leaking rainwater, that is dripping through our ceiling. This will continue due to weather forecast is 80% chance of rain for 17/4/2013. Through this conduct ABSA confirmed that they are a bank that is only concerned about the money of their clients, but a bank willing that is willing to go the extra mile for their clients.
