Changing conditions of life policy

When I took out a life insurance policy it was stated that for the period of 2 years only that the life policy will be linked to the sickness benefit policy. 2 separate policy numbers!! Now that I cancelled the sickness benefit suddenly the life policy is linked in TOTALLITY to the sickness benefit. I have the email where this is expressedly agreed - that this linking is only for a 2 year period. For 6 months now PPS are not responding to my request for payout of the benefit?
