Sub creation group

I was approached via SMS to increase my credit card and was offered a loan from African bank, when I went to the bank to do the application I was told that because the company in which my old application was done has changed legal entity, it will take longer while they register the new company details in the sub creations group, a few days later I'm told that this cannot be done as my company doesn't exist? It is the same trading name and same owners, just the legal entity has changed, but I get no joy from the call centre, no one will even phone my work for verification?
