My fiance went to Queenstown branch (first week of march) to inform them that she wasn't getting paid by her employer, and needed to see a consultant and have a solution on how to stop the penalties and charges that were occurring in her account. a lady by the name of Namhla who was directing customers to relevant consultants told her that she must not worry as the bank will automatically stop the debit orders and they will never charge her the penalties.by then her account had only a minus balance of R1500 to her suprise this month her account is on -R3800 because of someone who did not do her job properly, the question is, Who is going to be liable for those penalties? My fiance is still having disputes with her employer and no one can afford such penalty that was caused by one of the internal staff. Honestly speaking who has to pay for these penalties that could have been easily avoided?
