Cash loan application

I have an absa account. I applied for a cash loan of R10k. i was told they will let me know the outcome on tuesday 9 april. but i have not heard anything.

This branch has a habit of doing that, that is not getting back to me at all. When i applied for a credit & car finance last year they never got back to me until i wrote a complaint & a nice lady assisted me.

I also was told to wait for that outcome before opening a current account? why?
