How long does it take tonreinstate a policy

I have a home owner's insurance policy with Hollard since 2006 and the policy has lapsed. I wanted to reinstate the policy and I called the call centre. The consultant told me that she was going to send an email to another department so that the policy could be reinstated and cc me. Unfortunately nothing has happened and I don't know what is going on. Could you please advise. Ref 185767298
