DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH FNB

I had applied for a home loan, please note I earn decent money, own two properties (one if fully paid for, one is bonded) and have a clean credit record. I was hit with a 12.7% interest rate. After asking them to please come back with a better as that is complete, I was left running after them for over a month for an answer. My application was done incorrectly by the person who put it in their system, they wanted to see other quotes from other banks and I was even told it would only be bettered if I had a degree. After this shocking lack of communication and treatment I went with ABSA who gave me 9.25% and this was within 3 days. I believe FNB are only people's money with rates that high for no good reason and the fact that I had to chase them day after day was less than appealing to me not to mention no one returned calls when they said they would or emails. Do yourself a favour... go to another bank.
