SA Warranties
SA Warranties-no response

Business & Finance

I had a 2-year warranty with SA Warranties with regards to a used motor vehicle which I bought on 7 September 2012. On 31 January 2013 I informed SA Warranties that I wish to cancel the warranty. According to SA Warranties, the warranty was cancelled, effective 01 January 2013.

According to SA Warranties the value of the remaining portion of the warranty had been refunded to the financial institution which financed the vehicle. The financial institution persists that they have not received such a refund.

I requested SA Warranties to send me a 'Proof of Payment' which I can forward to the financial institution. SA Warranties informed me that it was not possible to send 'Proof of Payment' for individual transactions, as all their payments are made in 'bulk'. Thus, for the past two months I have been going back and forth between SA Warranties and the financial institution, without getting closer to a solution.

I find it very difficult to believe that SA Warranties is not in a position to supply me with a 'Proof of Payment'. I also find it most disturbing that consumers have to involve third parties (such as Hellopeter) in order to resolve a simple matter.
