I am a customer of Standard Bank Biz banking and make regular cash deposits at the Pickering Street branch. I normally have to queue at the bank and was delighted when shown a new ATM machine that would accept bulk deposits at a much cheaper rate than the counter.
Unfortunately, I have had the experience (numerous times) of finding out the ATM does not accept the new R200 note- so have had to do both ATM banking and counter banking and be charged the higher fee on the counter deposit. I am frustrated and when I complained the lady at the counter said they would only charge the lower ATM fee. When I received my statement- that is not so...
I am annoyed at the poor service and casual attitude adopted by the staff when I complained.
