Losing my money that got jammed in the atm

Business & Finance

16/03/2013 - I made a deposit at an Advanced ATM which jammed and printed a slip, which only reflected a portion of the amount deposited. I was advised that the jammed money would reflect on the ledger and all money would be allocated correctly within 96 hours.18/03/2013 - I was told the technician had fixed the jam and the matter had been taken to the ATM department and I should wait for a further 96 hours for an investigation to be done. 22/03/2013 - I was told that the amount that I claimed was jammed in the ATM did not reflect on the ledger for 16/03/2013 and the matter had been escalated for further investigation, which would take up to 10 working days. Finally, on 08/04/2013 I was told that only R7800 (as per the slip printed) would be deposited into XXX's account, as this was the only amount reflecting on the ledger. According to FNB the unaccounted R10300 did not reflect on the ledger and no additional money was found to be jammed in the ATM. I am certain that I deposited R18100 on 16/03/2013 and can't accept that R10300 has simply disappeared! They aren't being accountable for their equipment failure.
