I am a full time student who was tricked into accepting a credit card at CPUT in mowbray with the indication that the banking charges will only be R3 - R4 per month. I have only used the card on a few occasions & stop using it a few months ago as I am forced to pay at the nedbank Branch in Atlantis by using the tellers as the machine does not offer debit orders. I always pay more the than the amount sent on the statement, in some cases double or or more than the stipulated amount. I have now gone to the bank on 05th April 2013 to get a settlement amount so that I can close the account. I paid the amount indicated to me by the call centre agent. I then contacted your call centre again today (06 April 2013) to close the account. I was rather abruptly told by Liam Whalter who mentioned that they will get back to me. I am beyond angry as I am a full time student & will not be available during the week to be communicated with, he keeps insisting they will get back to me in the week. I am going to inform CPUT of the misinformation given by NEdbank representatives request them not to allow them to come visit the campus with these.
