I am once again disappointed by standard Bank. They are giving ridiculous customer service and they try by all means to justify the act. in August, last year, my debit order details were amended without my authority, i ended up being in arrears and only realised this when i received an sms advising me that the account was in arrears, this after a failed debit order attempt on a wrong account. i was told i am liable for the unpaid debit order charges and took responsibility by updating my account and changing the details back to an FNB account. Everything was per telephonic agreement until Feb, 2013, 26, when amendments re-occurred without my instructions. I only noticed this when i was to make a transfer to my STD bank ac. luckily this time i had funds and there were no unpaid debit orders. I Spoke to Lynette, today from the loans dept and asked her to change it back to FNB.i do not always check my debit order coz my acc are always in order. I feel my rights are being violated as a consumer and have completely lost hope in STD Bank. I am in the process of moving all my accounts from them. OUT OF WORDS!!!
