First For Women Insurance
Ad service and untrained call centre agents

Business & Finance

I was on my way from cape town to the e-cape on friday 29/04/2013 when my car broke down on the n2 near riversdale, It was only me and my children. i phoned roadside assistance to organize a tow truck. the agent called me back to say assistance will be with me within 60 min. it was pouring outside and the road was extremely busy. i then inquired about transport / rental car to get me home. the agent answered that i was not covered for that and if i chose, it would be for my own cost. this surprised me as i know that i included this option in my insurance. i told this to the agent who confirmed again that i was not covered for a rental car and that the tow truck company could take me to the nearest town for R400. i declined this as i told the agent, i would rather make my own arrangement to get HOME than to pay so much for a 10 minute drive. She never once phoned me back again to find out if the car was picked up or if we were fine. just a sms. when i got home i sent a complaint to 1st for women, only for them to inform me that i DO qualify to get transport to my house and an apology. how does that apology help me with pathetic service and the fact that i was left with 3 kids on N2.
