I will forever curse the day that I picked up my phone and agreed to take a service plan from SA Warranties' Siyakhula Direct. The one thing that I kept asking them was, will they do my cambelt service as I was not sure if the previous owner of my car had done it. The salesperson told me that they will do it no problem. I started paying premiums faithfully until last week where my car reached 104900km and I took my car to Car Service City and both the dealer and I tried desperately to get through to the claims dpt unsuccessfully. After holding on for eternity they told me that my car was not at 105000km and I wondered if I should take a joyride for 10km so that it could add up. They told the dealer that my policy would only start paying at 120000km which was shocking seeing as I had written confirmation that service would start at 105000km. This went on and on until they told the dealer that they could only do service worth R795 as they only service according to manufacturer's specs. Needless to say Im still sitting with an unserviced car, unable to get through their phones and truly speaking when they finally conclude this transaction I am cancelling this stupid policy!!!
