Non refund of ATM Withdrawals

On Sunday 31/03/2013 I attempted to withdraw R700 from my Standard bank account from an ATM at Sodwana. Only R300 was dispensed but R700 as well as the R300 were deducted from my account. I tried to withdraw for a second time and again R700 was deducted from my account without anything being dispensed. After listing a complaint at the Bela-bela branch today they informed me that I have to wait 12 working days for the incident to be investigated. This is unacceptable. In the meantime I am stuck without my money. Other banks correct incidents like these the next business day. I have the ATM slips that reflect that only R300 were dispensed but in total R1700 were deducted from my account. Proof of these slips can be submitted if necessary, I just want my money back.
In the meantime, who will compensate me with interest on my money that I do not have access to and the inconvenience of not being able to pay my expenses on time?
