On Friday the 22/03/13 i went to the branch in fourways to settle my loan account in full.
The consultant that helped me was P Sithole. He settled the loan account and closed it off.
I then asked him twice if the debit order will be stopped he said to me YES it will stop because he is closing the account.
Today the 26/03/13 i get an sms notification at 7am that i have been debited R2000 for the loan account.
i was furious so then i contacted Prestige banking to sort this matter out they said it would take 2 working days which was not my fault and it was unacceptable. I told the call center to contact the fourways branch and leave a message for sithole to contact me or the branch manager. After 4 phone calls no one contacted me yet and it was already mid day, yet i am a prestige banker useless service. I then took time off from work to sort this matter out. when i get to the bank Mr Sithole couldn't not help me after more than an hour with him. My only solution was to wait till tomorrow 7pm for my own money to be reversed. This is absolutely terrible service from STANDARD BANK. That is why they are called STANDARD. I will be changing banks very soon.
