ABSA forces you to take short term insurance with

I received a call from a ABSA consultant, telling me that if i do not prove my existing insurance policy on my financed vehicle, they will instute and insurance policy on my behalf for R 400 plus p/m, without my authorization, consent or having underwritten the policy with me. Should i produce a valid policy scehdule or letter from my insurer they wont institute the policy. Does this not smack of blackmail,? Look at which institution features the most regularly on this site for the wrong reasons? Desperate to sell their own short term policies because no one else buys, so you are blackmailed? I do not consent to you doing this and I do not authorize this!
