I would like to say that my vehicle is financed with Absa and today upon requesting information on my account, I find out that my monthly premium has increased since April of this year. The reason for this is that Absa without my consent decided that I need short term insurance on my vehicle. Which I might add is insured elsewhere for the past 2 years. This premium was added to my vehicle instalment so it reflects one debit. HOW MANY OTHER CUSTOMERS ARE BEING DONE IN??? As per FIAS I should be made aware of any product sold and commissions earned, Which in ABSA's case does not count. The document was sent to an address which I haven't lived by for the past year plus. When a consultant tried to get hold of me my number was engaged. This according to ABSA is legal, they have the right to take out insurance on your behalf if they cannot get hold of you. Not in my books or the law whoopee I am duel insured and when I asked if I should have a claim who do I claim from? I was told it would be my choice. How would I know if I did not enquirer. So much for good service maybe Absa should worry more about customer service and less about sponsors.
