Hi, after receiving a phone call from one of ABSA consultants alerting me to the fact that all vehicle financed through ABSA have to be covered under comprehensive insurance I've emailed my policy schedule reflecting that the vehicle financed through ABSA is comprehensively covered by insurance policy. Shortly afterwards ABSA started billing me additional charges for the insurance policy which was done WITHOUT my consent or NOTICE.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Today I've received the Confirmation of vehicle insurance stating that: "We have communicated via our call center, SMS and a letter to confirm your vehicle insurance. We have not received confirmation of insurance for your vehicle to date". This a on ABSA's behalf, upon receiving a phone call from ABSA consultant I've promptly sent the confirmation of my insurance and stayed on the line to confirm that the consultant received the proof of my insurance.

Since then i have sent a number of emails to ABSA's AIP department but yet to receive a reply or confirmation.

I'm sincerely disappointed in ABSA's approach to this as well as I'm now doubting the integrity of my accounts with ABSA.
