Still charging after account closure

I changed from ABSA to FNB because of previous bad service. When I went to ABSA to close my cheque account, they told me that it would be closed by the next day. It is now more than a month later, still open account, still charging banking fees on that account. I even stopped my debit orders for that specific account, but I still receive sms that debit orders will run.
