Don't be fooled by radio adverts

I called Outsurance for a quote and after more than 20 minutes and endless questions some of which were hardly relevant to establishing risk and other choices not relevent to my circumstances the quote was considerably more than my present insurance at Auto & General. The only way they could lower the quote was to reduce the cover and increase the excess. Even with this reduced cover the quote was still higher. As they could not better my present insurnance I asked about the advertised R400 for not bettering existing quote. The agent said he could not help me and someone else from that department would be in contact. Needless to say, weeks later, I have heard nothing.
