Invested- Questionable Business Practices

My father passed away in 1994. Was employed by Guardian National Insurance Company & had some kind of a policy with Investec if anything were to happen to him, myself & my younger brother would receive a lump sum of money at the age of 23. In Oct 2008 I received a pay out from Investec & immediately confirmed that when my brother was also of age he too would receive his pay out. It was at this point Investec realized they had paid out all the money to me in error so i had to transf the money back to them & they then paid the correct amount to me. In Dec my brother turned 23 but received no money from Investec as they said in 2008 they paid his money to me in error for the second time. They wanted to hold me liable for their mistake! Then they eventually told my brother they would pay his money about a month ago but are in my opinion trying to find every loop they can not to honour the policy with them as they are requesting details of Guardian National Insurance Company Details for a company that has been non existent for over 10yrs. No one has this info. They have the policy number why are they not able to check their records for this policy? Management needs to get involved now!!
