Paying less than confirmed

When i called on monday 18.03.2013 & spoke to Werner, he confirmed that R4000.00 would be paid on the thrust bearing / clutch for my car only to be told on wednesday by Charles that they will only pay R2305 for this. i was then also told that if i maintained my car, this would not be a problem. Also, the wheel bearings on my car need to be replaced and i was told the same thing by Charles. I do not understand why i must wait for something like the thrust bearing to break completely before i replace it, also, how does a person maintain a wheel bearing?!

I asked the assessor to look at the wheel bearings because i had already replaced and paid for one myself. Now i was told by Werner, that absolutely nothing will be paid towards these due to the fact that it should be maintained and has now put a note on my policy about same.

I am not very impressed with the service i have now had from AMP and would like some form of response / resolution.
