I called to the Blue Bean call center at 10h50, 22/03/2013, to close my credit card account. only to be told that the account can't be closed as the funds that i deposited had not been cleared. On 19/03/13 I made a deposit of R 27, 800.00 at a standard bank branch and the following morning (i.e. 20/03/13) to instruct the bank to close my account. I was then informed that i had to make a payment of R 432.39 in order for the account to be closed. I then asked the consultant as to whether if the deposit is made at an ATM, would it accrue the deposit fees and she responded in the affirmative. I then asked if there would not be a problem if i made an ATM deposit as she had informed me that the account statement would be closing on the 23rd and late payment would result in account not be closed. She again responded in the affirmative. Today I was told that the amount I deposited at an ATM would take 10 days to clear and this means that tomorrow when the statement closes, I would incur extra expenses that the failed failed to inform em about, in spite of me being proactive and inquiring about these. I am really unhappy about the situation to say the least. Ref no. 37207932
