Thursday evening, 14 March I was at home and received an sms stating that I had just spent money at 'Create you own vent', which I had not. I immediately phoned the Centre, who was very helpful. They immediately cancelled my card, ordered the new one to be sent to Jacaranda and sent me the docs needed. This morning, my phones rings, twice and the call is dropped before I can answer. Three minutes thereafter I receive an sms stating that my new card has been cancelled. I again immediately phone FNB. They tell me my card was cancelled because I did not pick up my phone. I ask them to find out who made this decision, and am asked to hold on. I hold on for a total of 13 minutes, after which the call is dropped. I phone again; only to be told it was cancelled from the branch. I phone the branch and speak to Mary, who says it wasn't cancelled by them, it was done by Customer Care (Tanyanico (sic) Maloleke).
I refuse to pay for a second card to be ordered; I also want to lay a formal complaint against the person who cancelled the card. To date, I have only had exceptional service from FNB, and all my trust has been sent packing in 1 hour!
