Horrific Customer Service from FNB Insurance

In November there was a wind storm in Cape Town and our house was damaged (roof and awning). I contacted FNB and started a claim. I received the forms from a Daphney Mvelase and subsequently sent her 10 or more emails of escalating annoyance to which I received NO replies. When I called her I had to leave messages with the call centre and she NEVER called me back.

Finally I got hold of her supervisors name and wrote him a letter of complaint. I got an auto-response to say he had resigned (don't blame him!).

I got a new email address, this time for a Tinkie Pottas. I sent her my complaint on Friday This morning I received my first email from Daphney since 05 December 2012. Apparently this Tinkie person had forwarded her my complaint with "FYI" at the top. Instead of contacting me this "supervisor" had simply forwarded my email to the person I was complaining about. Horrifically unprofessional if my opinion counts for anything.

It appears to me that the FNB Insurance department is mis-managed and appallingly lax in their understanding of customer service. My roof has remained un-fixed from November 2012 until present and the rains have started.
