As an FNB customer I recently opened a simply save account on-line to hold the deposit of a tenant of mine. Now that the tenant of mine has moved out and I need to pay the money back I cant simply close the account and pay him the money, no I have to go to a branch to do that. It is not like I am closing my main FNB account, this is just a secondary savings vehicle. If I can open it on-line without having to go into a branch or sign any forms why should I have to go into a branch to close it? This makes no logical sense. You are just making life difficult for your customers. If I cant move my own money around on-line as I see fit, there is really no convenience benefit in using FNB products for my future investments and I may as well put it elsewhere.
