My vehicle was involved in an accident in July 2012. As the other party caused the accident, it was always going to be a battle between the insurance companies. Due to numerous factors the vehicle was only returned to me in December. All fair enough. Outsurance only allows me a hired vehicle for 30 days. The balance of the days I had to hire a vehicle to get to work and back. In other words I hired the vehicle for 3 months. As I got back my vehicle the claim was submitted to the other party's insurer to pay for the whole claim from Outsurance. As I was told at the time. They will submit my invoices for carhire together with their claim for the other insurer's account. That was fine then or so I thought. When the claim was paid by the other insurer, I did not receive money for the expenses incurred in hiring a vehicle. I wrote mails, - no response, I asked for a manager / supervisor to phone me back, - no response . they just said the other insurer will not pay for that .. My question is then: what is the worth of the legal department if they won't fight the fight for you. My seeing of this issue is Outsurance got their money .. now they are satisfied. Just stuff that guy .?
