Settled loan but now I have an outstanding balance

I settled my loan account with Nedbank on the 24th of January 2013 as per the settlement letter for an amount of R86, 389.68 and received a letter on the 25th January 2013 advising that the account is closed and settled on the 01 March 2013 received a call from Terry (Call centre) advising me that there is an amount of R2000 outstanding. This is rediculous should normal civilians just jump to these big corporations? This will now affect my payment profile as well as my credit rating on ITC. And the girl still has the nerve to tell me that the account will accrute interest. Well I will not pay them a cent cause i was told numerous times that the balance is settled and the account is closed even have it on black and white (Letter dated 25 January 2013). The so called balance on this account will be written off because i will not be held responsible for the incompetence of the staff at Nedbank as i paid as per the letter provided.
