First National Bank
Left in the dark with uninsured smartdevice

Business & Finance

Hi

I received a smart device from FNB in November 2012. When I signed up for the deal - a 2 year contract with insurance - I was told my account would be debited from the end of the month, I still haven't been debited to this, 3 months later.

I called FNB to notify them of this on the 15th of February 2013, I didn't get a reason why my account hadn't been debited. I then asked, what would've happened if I lost/damaged the iPad, since I wasn't debited for the insurance, I was told I never took out insurance and they said someone will get hold of me to sort the issue out.

Since then, I've been bouncing from pillar to post on the phone, trying to sort this issue out. I have emailed FNB to see what's happening. I eventually went into FNB, where the service lady contacted the Smart Device department, and they said the device is insured now. I would like an email or a letter confirming this insurance, terms and conditions etc as I originally thought it was insured but to find out later it was not and confirmation of the billing, and how long my contract will run for, as I agreed to a certain time frame in the contract.

Thanks
