My Godmother passed away on 3.2.2013. She had a AVBOB policy. Bettie at Centuion branch was fantastic and the funeral went without a problem. Then Betty left. Firstly when arriving at the Master to get executor's letter the Death Certificate was stamped 6.12.2012. Does nobody check this before handing it over! There were funds left on policy after the funeral cost which must be paid out. When I queried the time e said funds will be paid by Monday/Tuesday this week (25/26 Feb). Yesterday I queried it again and he was going to email the Claims Department. This morning I was given Rosanne's name and number (012 303 1000). When I spoke to Roseanne she said that there is documents missing and she is waiting for Centurion to re-send them. I then called Freddy who said they did fax it but that this is a general problem with documents that have to be refaxed again and again. Now this is NOT customer service. If Freddy did indeed send in the claim last week already why only when the client calls claims directly is there documents missing. This should be handled internally. Why do I have to beg for something that was left to me after my Godmother have been an Avbob client all her life?
