On 30 Nov 2012 I was in a car accident. My car was towed in and a quote to repair was supplied for R 77 000. The appointed assessor said its too much and they will have to see where they can cut on the repairs. Then the quote was approved for R 40 000. I received my car back following weeks of struggles. I asked the panelbeaters why they took so long and they said they waited on the assessor as they cannot proceed because a decision can not be made the assessor is uncertain of what to do. My car is more damaged now than it was before. My airbag is broke, my wheel allignment is out, my CV joint is broken, my windscreen was broken, my bumber is loose, etc. I reported this many times but now Santam is ignoring me. The assessor they appointed made back door deals infront of me. He refuses to fix the damages from the accident because he forgot to include some damages in his first inspection. He left it now half and I must sit with the mess. Following my many telephone calls and complaints Santam said they will rather take my car in there possesion for a proper inspection and get back to me. Its been 2 weeks and nothing. It is now almost March 2013 and my car is still broken
