FNB's Tablet trap

I had qualified for the FNB tablet deal, I accepted and informed the consultant that I would like the latest Galaxy Tab 2, (I was unaware that there was more than one Galaxy Tab 2 at the time and this was not explained to me). On receiving the tablet i noticed that the box had already been opened by an FNB employee who installed FNB's banking app. The device was not the one i wanted, it was a miniature version of the galaxy tab2, i used the device once to determine if I could live with it, but was not satisfied with it. On the same day I phoned FNB to inform them that I wished to exchange the device for the full sized galaxy tab2, I was informed that because i had opened the box and used the device, I had forfeited my right to exchange the device (this despite the fact that an FNB employee had already opened the box and used the device), I was also told that the relevant department would contact me to confirm this but this has not happened to date even after I made additional enquiries. It appears that my rights as a consumer have been severely restricted by FNB's inflexible and illogical approach. I have not used the device since and am still awaiting feedback.
